Friends adopting

Hey Everyone!!

So I know it's been a long time since I've talked adoption... and I don't think I've ever talked about it on this blog. However, for those of you who know Matthew and I, you know that orphan care and adoption is a huge passion of ours, for more reasons than one. We actually have some news on this front, but we're still not quite ready to let the proverbial cat out of the bag, but I did want to share a couple of quick links for you guys (when I say "you guys" I am talking to the 3 people who read this blog, hehe).

We have been so lucky to be a part of an amazing church that is promoting a "culture of adoption." This is actually a huge part of what drew us to the Summit. Through the Summit we have met 2 awesome couples who are also adopting.

Jeremy and Tori Young were actually our first small group leaders at this church. Although we haven't been in the same group for some time now, we love them and are very excited for where God is leading them. They are moving to Tennessee this month to start a church plant and are also in the process of adopting two sweet children from Columbia. Check out their blog at here.

Jeremy and Julianne Dager have blessed us with their friendship in amazing ways over the past few years. They have a sweet daughter, Norah, who is 4 months older than Ainsley. They are also future church planters, and are in the process of adopting one OR two kiddos from Hondurus. You can check out their blog here.

I would encourage you to read both of their posts on why they're adopting. They echo our motivations and intentions exactly, and may not be what you're expecting.

I'm not sure who reads this or what your situation is... Maybe you aren't sure if adoption is for you and your family, but you can have a huge part in bringing some orphans into loving homes by offering financial or prayer support for these families.
