About Us

Hi welcome to our little slice of blogland! Thanks for stopping in!

This is me:

I'm a mostly stay-at-home mom to 4 of the cutest kids you've ever seen and work part-time at nights as a critical care nurse. I would like to think that my life and my spaces are organized, clean and inspiring... but I would just be lying to you and to myself :) My life is quite a bit of chaos considering I'm a pitiful time manager, a sub-par cook and housekeeper and as a mom, well I'm just trying to keep my head above water. I rely on lots of coffee and grace to get me through my days, because my heavens, that's all I've got.

This is my husband. He's an awesome dad who can actually take all 4 kids out by himself without any problem or hesitation. He works as a hospital administrator and does a darn tootin' good job at it.

These are our kids. We had 2 the old fashioned way and have 2 who were born in Uganda and adopted into our family in 2012.

In a matter of 8 months our family went from this:

to this:

If you want to read about how that happened, go here.

Our house is really loud and pretty messy. We fuss and yell and fight and squabble..... but I would like to think we do even more hugging, kissing, singing and laughing.

This blog is to document our story, our struggles, our triumphs and everything in between. Our story isn't normal and our family isn't perfect but we believe in family, in commitment, and in Jesus. He is what it is all about and His grace is the glue that holds us together and the catalyst that keeps propelling us forward. We do our best to bring Him glory, but have realized that although the way we live our lives doesn't always reflect Him, the way He keeps pouring out grace on us as we continue to fail does.

Thanks for stopping in! Leave a comment, say hello and walk along with us!

xoxo, Julie
